Privacy
The short version: this is a static personal site, and it collects essentially nothing about you. No analytics, no cookies, no tracking, no accounts. There's nothing here designed to follow you around.

What I collect
Nothing, directly. There are no analytics scripts, no advertising pixels, no cookies, and no forms that send your information anywhere. I don't run a server that builds a profile of you. The pages you read are served as plain static files.
Search
Site search runs entirely in your browser. It's powered by Pagefind, which loads a pre-built index and matches your query locally. What you type into the search box never leaves your device.
Theme preference
When you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser's localStorage so the site remembers it next time. It stays on your device and is never transmitted to me or anyone else.
Hosting and server logs
Like any site on the web, requests for these pages pass through a hosting provider that may keep standard, short-lived request logs (things like IP addresses and timestamps) for security and reliability. I don't operate analytics on top of those logs, and I don't use them to identify or track individual readers.
External links
This site links out to other places like LinkedIn, GitHub, project pages, and more. Once you follow a link off xue-hua.com, you're on someone else's site, governed by their privacy practices, not mine. The Site directory always tells you whether a link stays internal or leaves.
Your rights
Privacy laws like the GDPR and CCPA give you rights over your personal data: to access it, correct it, or have it deleted. Because this site doesn't collect or store personal data about you, there's nothing for me to look up, export, or erase. If that ever changes, this page will change with it.
Changes
If the way this site handles data ever changes (say I add a contact form or some privacy-respecting analytics), I'll update this page and the date above. No surprises.
